| Lisa Cole, Artistic Director Lisa received most of her dance training in California with Fred Strickler, Stephanie Gilliland, Bella Lewitzky and Loretta Livingston. She also trained on scholarship with modern dance pioneer, Merce Cunningham in New York City. She danced professionally with Groundwork Dance Company and with Yuki Okiyama and Dancers. Her continuing education has included choreography at The Ohio State University as well as intensive pilates training, anatomy, exercise physiology and The National Ballet School’s Teacher Training Program. She has served as Guest Artist at Denison University, for the Summer Institute for the Gifted and for the OSUN Theater Department. In 2000 and 2002 her work was presented in the Ohio Dance Young Artists Showcase. Prior to initiating Moving Arts Dance, she co-founded The Central Ohio Youth Ballet. Lisa holds a B.S. in Business Administration from UC Riverside. She resides in Newark with her energetic 3-year old son. Marci Hendershot, PTA Marci is a licensed physical therapy assistant as well as a pilates trainer. For the past 13 years she has worked primarily in the outpatient population of orthopedic injuries, including work and sports injuries. She graduated from the Central Ohio Technical College and she received her pilates reformer training from Stott Pilates. Additionally, Marci is a certified weight trainer with the International Weightlifting Association. Jacqueline Collins, Artistic Associate Jacqueline attended The School of Hartford Ballet teacher training program and received her BFA in Dance from The Ohio State University. She danced professionally with The Arc, an improvisational dance company. In addition to her dancing, Jacqueline has pursued art in many genres. She lived in NYC for 11 years where she continued dance costume design and her painting and mixed media works were shown in various gallery group shows. She holds an associates degree in Fine Arts and a BFA in art restoration from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. She freelances in gilding restoration with experience at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Currently, Jacqueline is a licensed auctioneer with Apple Tree Auction Center and instructor at Moving Arts. |
